Le Smurfs - Happy Halloween

His mom was insistent that he looked like a smurf.  Dad thought different until Aiden was sporting over sized shoes and a white and blue outfit.  He is only missing blue face paint.  Maybe next time.

Tipping the Scale at 14 lbs

Aiden is becoming sensitive to noise

Aiden hates the sound of plastic bags and kitchen dishes.  However, he loves music and singing.  For two parents who lack all musical talent. I'm glad to live in the 21th century when music on demand is easy to come by.

Lions, Tigers, and Errrs

Aiden and mom are counting down to Halloween. All lions must sleep eventually.  This one is roaring.

Bunica Departs

Bunica is heading home. We miss her already. Aiden had trouble sleeping without her. Many thanks to her and those back home who helped cover for her travels.

Updated Growth Charts

I think the doctor short changed Aiden on his last length measurement.  I measure about 24.125" the doctor on Monday measured 23.5".  It's tough to lay a crying baby straight.

Giraffes Eat Crying Babies

Parenting is simple.  You just need to have a crying baby understand who's boss.  In this case, a stuffed animal can be very persuasive. Aiden learned today that giraffes eat crying babies. Watch the differences as it finally sinks in.  After a couple of minutes Aiden calms down.

The Giraffe won this battle.  Beware of crazed Giraffes.

2-Month Doctor Checkup & Shots

Aiden's checkup went well.  He weight 13 lbs and 5 ozs and measured 23.5" in length.  The chance of interaction looks good compared to the alternatives listed below.  Although he needs a lot of pain relief right now.

  • DTaP: Diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis vaccine
  • Hib: Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine
  • IPV: Inactivated poliovirus vaccine

Happy 2-Month Birthday

Aiden is now a 2-month old. He spent the day playing is his play ground, eating, and otherwise demanding attention from his parents.  He's also continued to work on his photography smile.

A little less tongue next time.

He is getting big, these hands put his into prospective.

Hitting the Gym

A two month old jock? Aiden is hitting the weights hard, kicking his legs and pulling on the rings.  I expect by month four, he'll be performing a flying iron cross (like the picture below).

I recommend watching the high resolution version of the video --> Aiden's in the Gym (at the Playground).

Aiden's Weight

Aiden now weights as much as a 13 pound bowling ball.  Not quite as round. He is in the 85th% percentile for weight and height. It must be all of the organic milk.

Baby Steps

Aiden is taking his first assisted baby steps.  He is very happy cruising around the carpet. Check out the high resolution link --> Aiden's First Steps.

Aiden with Dad

Can you see Aiden?  He really blends in with his camouflage.

Better Luck this time for OSU?

Nebraska welcome to the Big Ten! After the lost last week, we're not too optimistic about this evenings game.  Regardless, Aiden is saying 'Hi'.

First Smile on Camera

Aiden has started smiling this week.  A couple of fun photos of his faces.  Mommy is much better at getting a smile.

Switched at Birth

It may be a case of mistaken identity.  Our watermelon, as you may recall, has finished growing.  However, the weather took a turn for the worst and we lost the vine.  We harvested the little crop, and took a look at the cross-section.

Turns out it was not quite a watermelon...  We should have known earlier that it was a cantaloupe.

Good to know that we can grow our own listeria free cantaloupe.

One Happy Baby

Aiden is so comfortable and sleepy that the flash did not bother him.

Skinny Baby ??

Aiden is still considered a skinny baby.  For a while he was growing faster in length than he could pack on the pounds (or Kilos). A new growth chart shows this trend.

Game Day. Go Bucks!

Aiden is already for the big game today.  He is predicting a 24 to 16 victory over the Michigan State Spartans.

Updated 10/1/2011 9:45pm
A big loss.  Looks like Aiden will witness a generation of losing OSU football. Too bad...
