Since Aiden can walk it is time to collect some recycling for allowance. The dimes and nickels add up.

Aiden is a Walker

Dad declared Aiden a walker on Monday.  He cleared about 25 feet without falling.  Mom says Aiden has been walking for 2 weeks now.

Aiden is close to needing shoes. He is practicing walking to the Target checkout.

Report on Estimated Annual Expenditures on a Child

United States Department of Agriculture each year estimates the annual cost of a raising a child.  This survey is now much more interesting reading to me.  The survey estimates that housing is the largest expense followed by child care and education.  Using the report,  Aiden's estimated expenses are north of $21,000 a year. I have no comment on the accuracy of this report.

Progress Report

Aiden is finally pushing 19 lbs.  He is working on his steps each day.  He currently can take 4 to 5 steps and then dives for his object of interest.  Today when I got home, Aiden was insisting that I walk him around the kitchen holding him with one hand.  He complete one lap around the island before I got lazy.  I think he may past that 10 step goal this weekend since he has started to stand so straight.

It's hot

Aiden is cooling off under the community oak tree.  Temperatures are too hot out in the sun.

Dog Biscuits

Aiden is teething right now.  It seems really painful given the frequency that he is crying.  They make these teething bars for babies I think they are really dog biscuits that were too expensive to import.

Operation Feed Aiden

Aiden has been maintaining his weight at around 18 lbs 6 ozs for months.  He must be spending too much time crawling and learning to walk instead of eating.  His father thinks its time to start stuffing him full of food.
