Harpers Ferry

A late afternoon family trip.  We really enjoyed this hike; no better place than Harpers Ferry.   Aiden was hoping to run loose playing with rocks on the top of the overlook.  This wasn't the best place to let Aiden run free.

  

Snake on the Front Door Steps

Early tonight, Aiden and I faced an usual visitor.  Getting ready to carry the stroller up the steps with groceries, I saw a striped slender object and froze.  Our visitor was hiding in the early evening darkness in the corner of our step.  This time, I phoned for help.

"Please turn on the porch light"

"Darn not bright enough"

The next attempt was to use my cell phone LED flash light.  To our surprise we found a 12" long baby snake coiled and ready to strike.

Below wasn't our snake but in the Google Images line up (he's guilty).  Hopefully, our snake is  native to Maryland and not some lost pet.

Aiden's First Cold

Aiden has his first cold, a runny nose and cough.  Not so bad.

Irish Baby

I think we have an Irish baby on our hands.  He likes his oats (imported from Ireland)!  Only problem instant rolled oats don't pass the test.  They have to be coarse steel cut unprocessed oats.  Not that difficult, takes about 30 extra minutes to cook real oats.

Beach Trip

We took are first family day trip to the beach. It worked great and the weather was a hot mostly cloudy day.

 

New Toy - a Roman Chariot

We don't know if Aiden likes this latest toy.  He seems quite content, even better when he takes a nap.
